My daughter was getting older and was getting bored with "Crazy 8's".
Cribbage brings back memories of the special connection I had to my grandfather when I was about 8 or 9 years old as he taught me this game (and rummy).
"I've got a hand like a foot", he would say after I dealt him a good cribbage hand... I knew I was in trouble then...
This cribbage board is a little big for travel but is a good home board - and it's built to last a long time. It has a little compartment for the pegs - the things you'd lose typically, so that's nice. The closing flap for the peg storage could be better (maybe velcro might be better than the rotating tab), but it's good enough - it just goes from the table to the cupboard anyway.
For under $30, you get a genuine 'Made in the USA' product. The description says "crafted in the USA" which might throw some people off but it really is - in Middlebury, Vermont. It's nicely varnished and should last a lifetime.
You can't go wrong at this price.
