(More customer reviews)We're big Star Trek fans and were a little disappointed in this game. I think we finally decided that whoever designed it wasn't a fan, but had one reference book and just based everything on that. Everything from their choices for the little pewter pieces to the properties themselves were strange and seemed kind of thoughtless. A musical instrument and wine goblet!!?? Someone who has never seen Star Trek could have come up with more iconic elements! And there's just no excuse for having the traditional "Jail" instead of a "Brig". And "Free Parking" should have been "Raisa" or a "docking station" at least!
I get why they kept the standard house and hotel shapes even though they renamed them "ships" and "fleets". I'm sure casting something original would have been expensive, but it just comes off as cheap.
Overall the game is as fun as Monopoly can be. But the properties weren't placed with any relevance - like they were taken right out of that one reference book and then just shuffled and placed.
