Educational Insights Design and Drill Activity Center Review

This play set is wonderful! It is easy to use and entertaining for preschool to early school age children. While kids are having fun playing, they are improving their fine motor skills and patterning. They can be creative with their own designs or learn to follow one of the included pattern cards. The set includes 3 bits for use with the drill or screwdriver handle and 5 different colored large screws. The drill has forward, off, and reverse settings and makes drill sounds at a reasonable volume. Overall a great buy.

Children love using the Design & Drill Activity Center to create their own designs, or following the set's activity cards to make pictures and patterns, from trains and boats to flowers and fish. Just snap any one of the drill bits into the power drill or the screwdriver handle, grab a handful of big bolts, and turn on the learning fun. Twenty activity cards (10 make-a-picture cards, 9 follow-the-pattern cards, and one make-your-own card) provide young learners with tasks from simple to challenging. Requires 3 "AA" batteries (not included).

Animal Bingo Review

My daughter is now 3, but this was her absolute FAVORITE first game. She found some family member literally everyday to play it with her in the months just after she turned 2. It really is a great first game: the only skill required is to match the animal to the identical space on your card, no counting or color recognition even is required. Most 2 & 3 yr. olds LOVE animals (we learned lots of sounds and that bunnies hop, snails are very slow, skunks stink, and much, much, more as we talked about the chips and let them crawl or hop or quack their way to their respective card as they were drawn). A game can be completed in about 5 minutes-no attention span worries. There's not even much need to have mastered taking turns if everyone is willing to let the little one draw the chip from the drawstring bag, he or she will feel constantly engaged even if animal drawn is not an animal on their card. There is no need to define a clear winner- we yell "Bingo on the green card!" and always play until all of the cards have achieved "Bingo!". You could simplify by playing one card each, but we always play all of them. The artwork is great. We highly recommend this one.

eeBoo Tea Party Game Review

This tea party game was the favorite Christmas present this year. My daughter just turned 3 and loves this game. We can not go through a day without playing it several times. The table cloth is so cute and "girly". The pieces are very durable and well coated to avoid damage from a small spill. One time through the game, and my daughter had the rules down pat. (She still has some trouble with Chutes and Ladders and Candy Land etc., but picked this game up with no trouble at all.) Another great perk of the game is that my 3 year old can set the game up and pick it up all by herself!
I would highly recommend this game for any young girl, especially if she is even slightly prissy. It is so cute, even I couldn't wait to play!
