(More customer reviews)I picked this up from Big 5 Sporting Goods and wanted to put this review up on Amazon to make everyone aware... don't spend your money on this. Better off spending a few bucks more on a better quality set. Here's the problem...
The board is made out of really cheap particle board. Which would be fine except for the portable design has it folding in half, and the hinge is screwed into the particle board. Also, the score-keeper is screwed in, as well as the nets. Now, no trouble with the nets since there are about 10 screws for each net, but the hinge (2 screws) and the score keeper (2 screws) ripped right out of the board after only playing a few games on the beach.
I honestly don't think the manufacturers played a single game on their own boards. They would've seen that the particle board can't hold the screws in past just a few games. After the score keeper and the hinges ripping out after just five rounds, I've decided to throw these things away and look for a plastic board. Unfortunately, this experience left a really poor taste in my mouth for Sportcraft products and I won't be buying anything from them in the future.
Be warned, this thing will end up in your dumpster after a long day at the beach. Look to other better-quality boards that can withstand the bean bags being tossed at it - the point of the game.
