I teach high school Spanish. I use this game (among others) with my students on periodic "game days." High schoolers LOVE to play games, especially ones that look like "kid games." This is a super game for beginning Spanish learners. It concentrates on beginning sounds and introduces & reinforces specific vocabulary. My students fight over it because it's easy and is played quickly. =)

Children learn to recognize letters and sounds at the beginning of simple Spanish words with this fun game for native Spanish-speaking children. Players say the missing beginning letter sound of a picture tile near the edge of the board and try to match that sound with a letter tile in the center of the board to move forward. The first player to make it all the way around the board wins. Guide included. Board measures approximately 16" square. For 2 to 4 players.

Learning Resources Silly Sentences Grammar and Sentence Building Game, Spanish Review

(More customer reviews)The game is good for my Spanish classes. It was boring with 2 people, but in a group, everyone had fun, and it's simple enought that even my Spanish 1 students could play.
However, there are some errors that seem to indicate that the game makers did not proofread their cards before manufacturing. For instance, the verb "oler" (to smell) has been conjugated incorrectly -- it should be "huele," not "ole." There are a few other typos as well, and some of the words on the cards are capitalized and some are not. Since there is no mention of capitalization in the rules, it's hard to tell whether that's a mistake, or whether only those words can be used at the beginning of the sentence (which would make the game extremely frustrating, and therefore I think it must be a mistake.) It may seem nit-picky to harp on these types of issues, but given that this is a game intended to teach and practice language, I feel the words should be correct.
Due to the mistakes on the cards, I have to say this game needs some revision before it will be worth the purchase price.

The verbs ser, estar, llevar, and tener are easy to put into use. Also descriptor words, i.e. rubio/a, moreno/a, lleva lentes?, es mujer/hombre? etc, are excellent. Spanish Bingo Review

(More customer reviews)I originally bought this for my tween daughter to study Spanish. But it is far too easy since the word & picture are on both the Bingo card & the "chip". So, I use it in a different way for my 4-year old who is autistic, visual learner. This game (we ignore the Spanish words) is excellent for matching, and since each card is a category of items (food, transportation, amimals, weather, color, and clothing), he learns to categorize. I prompt him to say the word (in English) and tell me which category it belongs to. He likes to play this game about 2 times a week. Very durable & colorful.
