(More customer reviews)It makes sense to only offer addition flash cards 0 to 9 (most sets go to 12). But subtraction flash cards really need to be 0 to 18. Trend recognizes this, but you have to purchase the 0 to 18 flash cards in two sets.This set covers 0 to 12. You can do a search: "Trend subtraction flash cards" to find the 13-18 set.
What I like about these flash cards is they are plain-vanilla. No frills, no color, one problem with the solution on the other side.
Every combination of problem is offered. While learning, I generally "group" my math facts by families....i.e. 9-7 on one card, and then 9-2 on the next. If my son or daughter gets stuck, I give them a hint by showing the next card. It works quite well to jog memory, and to assimilate family facts. Then, after a set of fact families are learned, I mix them up completely.
