(More customer reviews)I bought this as a gift for a friend of my daughter's, but I also own a copy (that a friend gave me). This game is quite a lot of fun... it has just about the right balance of luck (dice rolling), strategy (picking which horses you want to bet on, and which one you want everyone else to think you bet on), tactics (do you advance your own horse, spike the leader's, or advance someone else's in order to earn a favor later?), and table chatter to really engage an entire table of players for a couple of hours.
The box says "ages 10 and up", but our (bright) four-year-old daughter can play it just fine, though not with all the strategy and nuance that an adult would. And she really loves the little plastic horses. :)
