well, being a fanatic when it comes to the "walking with" series, i ordered this game specifically for the playing set of intricate cards of the different 'beasts' from the program. for that alone, i give the game a 5! i haven't learnde how to play the game but, am so enamoured by the set of cards, that getting fingerprints all over them is moot! so, keeping the gamme board, die and 4 little round game pieces in the illustrated box, i am going to find the acetate card holders to keep the cards in a protective environment;free from handling, etc. i only wished that the bbc producers of this game, would have put in a few plastic,3 dimensional figures of the beasts. that would have been way cool!! a nice mammoth;gastornis;ambulocetus;deinotherium;australopithicus;smilodon; indricotherium;hyaenodon;entelodon; leptictidium; parahyracotherium;homo habilis;dorodon;basilosaurus;moerotherium--the list of wants goes on! yeah,i would definitely say get this little gem. only if you are a big fan like me!!

It's 65 million years ago. All dinosaurs are now extinct. Mammals are now dominant on land and in the sea. Birds are also evolving. But it's nothing like you would have imagined... for over 25 million years Andrewsarchus is the greatest land predator. He looks like a wolf but is the size of a rhino. Weighing more than a car and stretching the length of two, Andrewsarchus crunches through bone like candy...These's also Gastornis, a flightless bird as tall as a grown man, rippling with muscles and thick feathers. Gastornis has a jutting, fearsome beak so she can tear through bone and sinew like paper.Walking with beasts is a safari style game set in prehistoric times. Each player controls a group of prehistoric animals that battle opponents. Inspired by the BBC television series.
