(More customer reviews)The most important thing to know about these expansions is that all the figures in the Heroes of Laur set are unique, so unless you're playing with house rules or sharing with friends, there's not really a need to buy more than one of the Heroes of Laur set.
The set itself is nice with 5 new figures, all but one of which is a two-hex figure. My only complaint was the tiny clear rubber bands used to secure the figures to the packaging. I'd suggest having a small knife to get rid of them as some are hard to find and they don't break well.
Charon is a 2 hex Dragon King with Counter Strike - unlike the Samurai Counter Strike, his ability doesn't exclude other Samurai. I have a feeling there may be some errata coming to say counter strike figures can't counter strike each other, but maybe not. He flies, has decent move (5) and good attack and defense (also 5 each). He has a whopping 9 life for 210 points. He is Valiant, which means he can play well with a 4th Massachusetts Line army, but doesn't otherwise combine.
Duno is a 2 hex figure with a Crippling Gaze. Before he moves he can roll 15+ on the d20 to remove all order markers from all unit cards of a figure within 5 hexes of him (so if he hits a blade grut and you have 3 cards of it, all 3 cards would lose all turn markers). His live is 4, move 6, attack 3 and defense 5. At 110 points I'm not sure he's better than airborne elite, but maybe if the right glyphs are in play he could be very useful.
Brunak is a 2 hex figure with 3 specials: he basically treats lava as normal tiles (except for height), he can carry another medium figure with him, and he has a "blood hungry" attack of 4 dice which he can keep hitting with as long as he inflicts at least one wound. He has 3 life, 6 move, 4 attack and 7 defense for 110 points. He doesn't have any obvious combine traits, although carry could be useful since he can carry a figure then it could move on it's own.
Su-Bak-Na is another 2 hex figure with flying and "hive supremacy" which adds 1 when rolling the d20 for any Marro or Wulsinu army card (there aren't any Wulsinu yet). He's got 5 lives, 6 move, 7 attack and 3 defense for 160 points.
Deathwalker 8000 is the smallest figure at only 1 hex buthe makes up for it with a new special attack. It's 3 dice range 7 and if he inflicts a wound, he can keep going until he misses. Like the 9000 he has only 1 life. He has move 5, range 7 (the only figure in Orm's return with a "normal" ranged attack), attack 3 and defense 8 for 130 points.
