I'm a speech therapist and wanted this dual timer so that when I played games with children who needed some time limits, there would be a "visual" reminder. That said, the instructions that came with this chess clock are useless, having been written by someone whose first language is obviously not English. It is a fine product and seems to work well. However, I did have to go online to get directions about how to use a chess clock.
