(More customer reviews)I have never been so impressed with a game with such an upgrade in quality as I was with the Onyx Monopoly. As a lifelong fan of the original game, this version was redesigned with the Monopoly connissier in mind. It is beautifully designed and well proprotioned. This game would as look beautiful on a game table in a billionaires library as it would in your living room. Overall, the set is on a smaller scale than the original board game, the "board" was unchanged, but scaled down to approx 2/3 the original size, slightly bigger than a chess board. It is formatted onto a wooden frame with the edges and playing areas separated by finished black wood, giving a nice heavy high quality feel to it, along with the beautiful aesthetics. The money and the deeds are both smaller than the original. The money has silver and black storage rack, for easy displaying and separating play money- very compact yet upscale. There is also a deed wheel, for setting upright all the deeds for easy identification as well as storage for playtime. Even the playing pieces are upgraded, to an antique brass metal, dice are large heavy black dice, and resin hotels and houses. This game was a pleasure to play with, and beautiful. The box set stores everything nicely, too, a wonderful addition for your game collection!!
