My husband & I bought this to improve our geography knowledge. We've done a lot of traveling, and we find the questions to be challenging without being too obscure. There are enough question cards to make the game interesting for many hours of play. There are some flaws in playing the game as instructed, however. We had to make up rules as we went along because there were immediately issues that the rules did not address. I won't go into the boring details. We recommend forgetting the spinner. Each player should start with the pieces of one world map (we put ours in plastic bags). If you answer correctly, you get to pick a map piece out of your bag. Incorrectly, and a piece goes back in the bag. The first player to complete their map wins. Another method is to just use the cards. You keep the cards from questions you answered correctly, and the person with the most cards (whenever you decide to quit playing) wins. We keep an atlas and computer nearby so we can look up any information about missed questions that we might want to know as we go along. Of course, this will only work for adults or older kids. The method recommended for young children is to use the spinner and map pieces without the questions, but I doubt that kids would find that very amusing for long.
