(More customer reviews)I bought the deluxe Mah Jong set for my daughter and her husband, without knowing anything about Mah Jong. (That was probably my mistake.) I knew they played and I wanted to surprise them for Christmas. I guessed as to whether to get American or Chinese, but decided on American (guessed correctly). However, there was nothing in the description to tell me the deluxe Mah Jong was not really complete and ready to use. One also has to purchase cards for the game, and, according to my daughter, they are expensive. Had I known that, I would have bought them. I think for gift-givers, there should be more description of what is actually needed to use the games that are being sold. I feel like for about $80.00 I purchased a nice part of a game that I would have gladly paid up for to have the complete, ready-to-play set.
