PickTwo Deluxe Review

(More customer reviews)We got Banana Grams crossword game as a gift. While shopping for same gift for our 2 friends who visited, we found Pick 2 at FAO Schwartz and played both games. All of us (4 players) love crossword puzzles/boggle, the idea of the game is great. For both games, the objectives are similar - both crossword puzzles game by using number of tiles at hand; you yelled "pick 2" or "peel" (for Banana Grams) .... However, Banana Gram has a much better product design. First, the tiles in Banana Gram are plastic tiles like mahjong - easier to turn over and handle while the tiles in Pick 2 are paper thin and harder to manager or flip; second, less letters are involved in Banana Grams so you don't need a huge table space - we ran out of space with Pick 2 while we were using a Dining Room Table that seats 6 - how often can you find a bigger game table!? Third, when you can't use a letter, you can say 'dump' and replace the tile with 3 new tiles in Banana Grams; for Pick-2, you don't have that added choice. the 'dump' makes it exciting esp. towards the end when you get the "Z" or "Q". All four players who played both games found Banana Grams much more fun and quick and more space efficient. All the tiles can fit into a banana-sized canvas bag which makes travelling with it easier. If you are considering Pick-2, check out Banana Grams. Both probably have to be ordered online or special toy stores.

PickTwo Deluxe is the always-changing, ever-rearranging crossword game. Players draw tiles, building their own personal crosswords as fast as they can. Whenever players use all their letters they yell Pick Two and everyone draws two more tiles. The catch? These tiles must now be added to your crossword. The best part? You can always change your crossword by rearranging letters and even words to use up your tiles. When the centre pile of tiles is gone, the first one done wins the round. Game contains 240 Letter tiles, score pad, pencil, and instructions. For 3 to 8 players, ages 8 and up.
