(More customer reviews)The Heroes of Bleakwood are the only one of the first four expansion to include unique squads. Officialy, that means you can only use one of each in your army, so there may not be much point in owning more than one of this set.
The figures are well-made and very detailed just like all the others in the series. The leaders have a variety of powers and abilities and can really change the course of a battle.
Taelord is the winged guy - he adds +1 attack to everyone within 4 squares of him. He can make those ranged attacks even more deadly, particularly if you get him next to the snipers or figures witha lot of range.
Tornak is a two-space Grut Champion (making him a great combo with the blade gruts). He helps adjacent gruts and, like all grut, can disengage at will.
The Venoc Warlord adds to the movement of scouts, making him and the vipers truly amazing as they can move 9 hexes. He also helps them frenzy and is pretty tough on his own.
Kelda has healing powers.
The roman general helps nearby romans and makes a great combo with them because of their special power.
Overall this is a great set of figures and a worthwhile addition to your collection.
